In the 1960s First United Methodist Church, Knoxville, TN moved from downtown Knoxville to their present location in Sequoyah Hills area of Knoxville. At that time two large stained glass windows from their downtown facility were put into storage at their new location. In 1990 the church asked us to find a location to hang their old stained glass windows. One of their windows (not shown here) was hung in hallway and the other window was built into a lightbox in a memorials room off the narthex. We cleaned and repaired the stained glass windows, then designed and built the light box. We added trim that matched the trim that was in the entry way. We stained and finished the box to match the existing woodwork. …… This was our first church project. I went by this church in 2010, the lightbox still looks great.
